The Cathedral of Our Lady of Fatima, Belgaum, the Mother Church of the Diocese of Belgaum, was consecrated and inaugurated in 1957, to cater to the spiritual needs of the Catholics residing in the area. Since its inception, the Parish has grown immensely in all spheres. The Catholic population has also increased numerically over the years.
Being the Mother Church of the Diocese of Belgaum, it is unfortunate that we do not have proper infrastructure, like a Parish House and Office, Community Hall, Youth Center and the like. There is also an urgent need for major repairs and maintenance of the Cathedral. As we have entered the Great Jubilee Year 2000, we thought it fitting to undertake the above work projects on a war footing. The estimated cost of the Project is Rs.70 Lac.
As Parishioners, either past or present, and well-wishers, we look forward to your generous help towards the completion of these projects. We would greatly appreciate if you consider this task as your personal venture and thus take a keen interest to expedite its completion. Name of donors contributing Rs.25,000/- and above will be inscribed in the Parish Community Hall.
